Message I picked up a Stillen pop charger a long while back for a song, with the promise of using it in a dual pop set-up sometime in the future. That time has come, so I pulled it out of storage, along with my current JWT pop for cleaning/oiling. This whole time I thought JWT and Stillen pops were identical, but I was wrong. Has anyone else ever compared the two? (I have some questions at the bottom, BTW):

.

JWT = left, Stillen = right. Look at the venturis:

.

.

About a 5/16" height difference. The base of the Stillen filter DOES compensate for this, as it is taller than the JWT's base as well:

.

.

Notice the finish on each venturi. The Stillen is machined almost mirror-smooth, while the JWT is rather rough comparitively. However, the mouth of the Stillen venturi is almost 1/8" smaller in diameter than the JWT:

.

.

Difference in bases, for the heckuvit (Stillen base is noticeably heavier):

.

.

A few questions now:

If I run a dual MAFS set-up, do I need to worry about the differences in filters. I'm planning on buying either another JWT or another Stillen anyhow, but I'm kind of curious... which brings me to my second question:

With the filter elements being the SAME size (and the same materials, presumably), which one is more ideal?

Last question: Does this difference still exist between the two with new units?

"bJammmin: holy jesus fucking shit
bJammmin: people who say money cant buy happiness, obviously havn't driven a twin turbo Z"

"done"?
BAHAHAHAHAH ... it's never "done" ...." (in regards to the Z)
